Announcing our Feature Performer!

Patty Wooten - Often called the Queen of Jest,

Patty is a nurse, a clown and a leader in the field of therapeutic humor.  For the past 25 years she has traveled across the USA and around the world helping health professionals, patients and clowns understand the benefits of humor and laughter for the body, mind, and spirit.  She's tickled the funny bones of over a quarter million happy people. She is a founding member of the American Assoc. for Therapeutic Humor and the author of Compassionate Laughter and other valuable books for caring clowns.

Patty has previously been an instructor at Clown Camp La Crosse WI. She has a few characters. Above is Nurse Kindheart and shown to the right is Nancy Nurse.

                                                Mission Statement

California Clown Campin' was formed with the sole purpose of furthering Clown Arts education through training and fellowship.

                                                          Classes

You may select from 3 class selections per session with popular courses repeated throughout the week. You can plan your classes with the focus on your choice of clowning arts.  A wide variety of instructors will present topics on balloons, facepainting, magic, props, safety and school shows, ministry, caring clowning and more.

Laughter, learning new skills, networking, laughter, friendships old and new, improving existing skills, sharing with peers, oh and did we mention LAUGHTER???

                                                       Picture Day

Whether you've done it for years or this is your first time in costume and make-up, this is one of the highlights of the week.

You will meet in your alley for a group and invidual photo that you'll receive before camp is over to take home with you as well as having an opportunity to see all the instructors in costume and character!

                                                       Camp Store

At the Camp Store you'll have the daily opportunity to see and purchase a wide variety of costumes, accessories, make-up, magic, props, clothing, gags and just about anything "Clown".  

                                                 Accommodations

You'll be housed in the University Apartments in an air conditioned 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite that sleeps 4 (2 campers per bedroom) with a full kitchen.

Camp Registration / Check-in Sunday August 1 begins 3 PM

Opening Session 7 PM

Camp Farewell Friday Evening August 6th

Check-out Saturday August 7th before noon
